Experienced trial lawyer and mediator
Stand your ground.
Or find common ground.
Pat Furey does both.

With over 45 years of experience, Pat Furey is trusted both as an advocate in litigation and as a neutral and effective certified mediator. His extensive background equips him well both for fighting and for finding agreement in basic and complex legal matters.
Pat Furey.
At home in the courtroom.
At home in the conference room.
Some disputes require a determined advocate who knows how to fight and who won't back down. Others are best resolved privately on the parties’ own terms with the help of a neutral mediator. Pat Furey Law offers both—litigation skill and experience when a case must be fought and the skills and experience required when pursuit of an acceptable agreement is the wiser course.
A certified mediator, Mr. Furey can advocate for a client in mediation or serve as the neutral mediator for the clients of others.
Conflict is inevitable in the makeup of society. And while most is temporal and can be “got over,” the duration and/or enormity of some disputes call for adjudication in court. The judicial process, though, is a technical and uncertain one that requires skilled advocacy. When litigation is necessary, a litigant needs counsel who is experienced, disciplined and unafraid. Mr. Furey’s decades of experience as a litigator for claimants and defendants alike have equipped him to provide quality representation of either side for improved chances of success.
In most disputes, the prudent course is for both sides to turn away from the bench and pursue an outcome that is mutually acceptable and -- most importantly -- certain. Unlike litigation, mediation offers parties the option of self-determination, confidentiality and economy. Mr. Furey holds a certification for listing on the Idaho Supreme Court’s roster of civil case mediators and offers his services to attorneys whose clients prefer the advantages of mediation over the risk and expense of litigation. He also provides advocacy representation to clients in or seeking mediation.
“Courthouse halls could be mopped with the tears of litigants who guessed wrong.”
