About Pat Furey
Mr. Furey’s forty-plus year career as a litigator began with a clerkship to Hon. Charles R. Donaldson, Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, in 1979. He next clerked for Hon. Fred M. Taylor, Senior U.S. District Judge for the District of Idaho, earning him a recommendation for employment by Joseph M. Imhoff of the Boise insurance defense litigation firm Imhoff & Lynch, where Mr. Furey was made a partner after three years. As a partner at Imhoff & Lynch Mr. Furey was principally involved in the litigation of diverse and complex matters including the defense of Continental Airlines, BFGoodrich, Travelers Indemnity Co. and Aetna Insurance Co.
Following Mr. Imhoff’s retirement from the Imhoff & Lynch firm, Mr. Furey joined Ringert Clark Chartered as a partner, where he continued his litigation practice but with greater involvement on behalf of claimants. After the retirement of founding partner William Ringert, Furey withdrew from the firm to open a solo practice from a home office in 2002, which he continues today, focused primarily on mediation and the litigation of business disputes.
